Im a fan of these two. This duo right here is pretty dope fa'real. I dont believe they get the recognition they deserve. I went to a Busta Rhymes concert at the House of Blues in San Diego and they ripped the stage. The best, aside from Busta's, performance of the night. Big ups to them. [www.myspace.com/unimuzik]

Harlem Renaissance Art History

I dug my way through my teachers book shelf today and found this book. Not just a book, a meaning actually. Its a great book by Mary Schmidt Campbell that inspired me in a dope way. It turned my head around and made me realize how art has placed its stamp on history for so long and how African Americans were some of the greatest artists to hit the face of this Earth. It really made me feel special. It encouraged me to follow my heart and realize how special, gifted, and talented African Americans really are. You should pick it up. Not only for the art. But for the messages in the text. You might learn a thing or two.

Temptation is a workout.

I am my own being, my own man, understand? So for me to rob this man, of his presence, is intrusion. Deluding, is what my mind is doing. (Confusion). Eluding the fact that, im no God. So for me to choose wisely, hmph, that is no fraud. So until then, I remain righteous by any means necessary. And ignore d'evils for it'll keep me out of the cemetery...I witnessed this, emotionally.

Kanye West's New Nike Air Yeezys Hit The Streets'It's really interesting to see an entertainment artist such as Kanye West get his own sneaker design,' fan Stephen Gage says.
By Steven Roberts

NEW YORK — Saturday marked the release of the Nike Air Yeezys, Kanye West's much talked about collaboration with the sneaker giant. Sneaker releases, especially ones as hyped as the Yeezy, can often be chaotic, with lines of buyers — many of whom have camped out for days — stretched down and around the block.

This release was no different, as lines began to form early outside of the Nike Sportswear store on 21 Mercer Street in New York. With other stores claiming to be sold out of the shoes already and a few others charging far more than the suggested $215 retail price, consumers decided to try their luck at Sportswear.

The store set up a raffle where perspective buyers could enter a lottery, give their size and, if they were lucky, the store would call them back to let them know they had a pair of the popular shoes reserved.

"Sneaker releases are normally crazy. You got people everywhere. People arguing over who is where in line," said Stephen Gage, who was the first person to purchase the sneakers when the store opened at 11 a.m.

"Mostly sports stars have had collaborations with Nike before, such as Michael Jordan with the Air Jordan and Kobe Bryant and many other stars," Gage said, "but it's really interesting to see an entertainment artist such as Kanye West get his own sneaker design."

Many artists — including Pharrell, Eminem and even Dinosaur Jr. — have collaborated with Nike to customize their own version of a shoe, but West was able to design his own model completely.

Photos of prototypes of the shoe began surfacing last year, just before West's Glow in the Dark Tour. As more and more information was posted on sites like Hypebeast and Nike Talk, buzz began building among West fans, sneaker-heads and resellers alike.

"This just seemed like Kanye actually had his whole footprint in the design, from the tongue to the glow-in-the-dark [sole]," said Jason Ayers, another customer. "The way he's very flamboyant with his style, it's a very flamboyant shoe."

Fresh air

"Man, life. Its beautiful. It has its ups. Not really downs anymore in my mind. Your alive. Living on a precious Earth. Breathing air that doesn't hurt. Why are you bitching? I believe every "down", takes place for a reason. Like Chriia said, "Real champs sip on pain". We may not like it or realize it, but we learn and become stronger from it. I promote Peace and Love. A few years ago I promoted hoes and thugs. At times I feel the need to get away from the jive. Negative people kill the vibe. The grounds of positivity are where I want to reside. Peace and Love are the wings that make you phly. Im the optimum optimist. Health, Wealth, and Happiness baybee. Thinking positive is the music and happiness is the result when it comes to me. And I bob my head 24/7, hahaa."
